Like eCoordinator it will allow you to set up your own volunteer registration forms, including matching attributes, and is 100% interactive with any eCoordinator database or web site on the Disaster Help Network.
Because it "stands alone" on a laptop but can also interact with the Internet systems it is ideal for supporting field operations during a disaster response when Internet connections and power are unavailable. You can operate security checkpoints and Disaster Volunteer Reception Centers using Coordinator CS and a backed-up copy of your main database from eCoordinator. When the Internet becomes available again you can quickly synchronize the two databases, allowing volunteers who have registered on-line during the crises to be downloaded into the field software. New service opportunities (positions) that need volunteers on scene can be transferred electronically to your command center instantly and, from there, posted onto multiple web sites.
If you need to share volunteers from the PC database with a partner organization that is using eCoordinator in another part of town this can be done at the "touch of a button." All that is required is for both parties to belong to our network even if they are using different versions of our software.
