We call ourselves the
Disaster Help Network because we provide the ONLY technology which automatically networks our customers. It's like using the computer network inside your office. Each customer has exclusive access to their own data unless they choose to share that access with another organization. If you choose to establish a network relationship with another organization in your area you can quickly transfer volunteer records to them and also receive volunteer data from them. Separately, you can also choose to share information on volunteer positions if you need help filling them.

Just like an office computer network we can establish "Administrators" that have limited direct access to multiple databases inside your region. If multiple organizations are using a single web site to recruit and service volunteers it might make sense to establish a central clearinghouse for all volunteers and positions belonging to your network. This central repository would power your regional web site. This works great for Citizen Corps chapters, health departments and EOC's/EMA's. It is NOT necessary to have a centralized database before multiple organizations can share a web site, but it helps.

Finally, we can network multiple customer web sites together. If disaster strikes and you need to "get the word out" it helps to post your positions on multiple web sites. When a volunteer commits to work a shift on one web site, that shift is automatically removed from all web sites on the network. If a volunteer changes their address on one web site that change is propigated across all databases on the network.

All of our web based systems, both databases and web sites, can be synchronized with PC software that you can use when the Internet and the power fail during a crises. When services are restored your PC databases are also networked. PC based systems work well for handling Disaster Volunteer Reception Centers at the scene of a disaster so by networking these with web sites, call centers, and command posts a single seamless volunteer response network is established.

For more information on how we network everyone together please contact us. Remember that networking is OPTIONAL. You still have as much secure control over your volunteers as you want.
